Bixbys Shu Wite Shoe Cleaner Polish Bottle Lot 2 Glass Paper Label 1920s Vintage
This is a lot of two vintage shoe polish bottles. They are glass and one has a paper label and wood stopper. This item measures 3 3/4" tall (4 1/2" tall counting stopper) x 1 3/4" diameter. The brown paper label reads, " Bixby's Shu Wite...for white canvas Buck and Suede Shoes". The original contents was 2 1/2 Fl oz and maker is Shinola-Bixby Corp., New York & Indianapolis". The bottom has glass maker mark "HA , A-7, K, 5862". The other bottle measures 3 7/8" x 2" and it has a blueish color to the glass and lots of bubbles in glass. The neck is marked, " 3 Fluid Ounces". These are old item that probably date to 1900-1920's or maybe older. No cracks. The paper label has some chipping. I am selling as a collectible and not as a useable shoe polish as it is old! The wood stopper is probably a dauber but I have not opened.
