    Description

    Vintage Rare amethyst, Wide mouth.  SMALLEY'S NU-SEAL TRADEMARK in double diamond on front. AG SMALLEY & CO. INC BOSTON, and Patented JAN. 5, 1904 ON BOTTOM.
    This was the company that came before BALL with their BALL jar. Own a peice of history.
    With cover and wire bail, nice rust and pitting on bail, jar would seal again if one so desired (gasket not incl.).
    Condition is "Used", no chips or cracks, very early (1904 to 1915 according  to my research) machine made glass, great amethyst color from exposure to the sun. Cool air bubbles throughout the glass, a couple shown in close up photo.
